VILLAGE OF LOMIRA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, January 14th from 6:30pm to 7pm at the Lomira municipal building located at 425 Water Street, Lomira, an informational public hearing will be held to discuss and gather information regarding the continuation of the wheel tax. All interested parties are invited to attend. The Village Board will be present for questions and answers.
Persons requiring additional services to participate in the public hearing should contact the clerk’s office at 920-269-4112 x2 for assistance prior to the meeting.
A quorum of the Village Board trustees may be present at the forum for the purpose of gathering information and discussion. No official action by the Village Board will be taken at the forum.

Beginning September 1, 2021, all registered vehicles in the Village of Lomira under 8,000 lbs will be assessed a $30 wheel tax per vehicle. The fee is collected at time of vehicle registration renewal paid to the Registration Fee Trust with the Department of Transportation. The wheel tax is authorized by State Statute and the fee is established by the Board of the Village of Lomira. All revenue generated by the wheel tax is used to improve roadways within the Village.
