Do I need a permit?
In most cases, you probably do!
Contact the Village first, then begin your project!

​There are 2 Types of Permits:
1) Traditional Building Permit: new structures including homes, sheds; install or replace fencing, skylights; relocate or replace fireplaces, chimneys, new HVAC; remodel or relocate walls, subfloor; construct or replace deck or swimming pool; upgrade electric service equipment or added circuitry; electrical service upgrade. This is not a complete list. Please call the Building Inspector with questions or concerns.
*Fill out the Building Permit Application
*Email application and all relative documents to msa_buildinginspection@msa-ps.com
*The building inspector will contact you regarding fees, when the project can start, and issue
the placard

2) Municipal Building Permit (minor): siding, windows replacement same size, doors, roof, any project that does not affect the structural integrity of the building. This is not a complete list. Please call the Clerk's office with questions or concerns.
*Fill out the Municipal Building Permit Application
*Email the application to Jenna Rhein at jrhein@villageoflomira.gov, mail with the fee to
Village of Lomira at 425 Water Street, Lomira, WI 53048, or drop off at the Clerk's office
*Standard $50 fee per project (one project per application)
*Pay fee online at www.villageoflomira.gov/pay or cash/check
*Jenna Rhein will contact you regarding the project and issue placard
